Neon, Tent London & Super Brands London 2012. Feature Project Space

Call for Entries for the 2013 Project Spaces

26 Apr 2013

Following from its successful inaugural introduction to Tent London & Super Brands London in 2012, we are delighted to open the applications to apply for a Project Space in the 2013 shows.

As in 2012, the Project Space should be about anything but products. We like to punctuate the halls at Tent London with engaging installations of all descriptions which challenge our design hungry visitors and offer a break from the furniture, lighting and interiors products found within the rest of the show.

This year we are again offering 4 *free* Project Spaces in the show to architects and designers who have a design or concept they would like to present to our 20,000 visitors.

Installations must be engaging, 3-dimensional environments which clearly demonstrate the chosen concept; whether it be colour, material, light, human interaction, diversity etc. Concepts can be complex or simple, but must be clearly evident in the installation – visitors should not have to read a book to get it.

As Tent London is a temporary design trade exhibition, your design should reflect this temporary nature. The most impactful installations are often the most simple and the ones we love.

Deadline: Thursday 16th May 2013

The Practical Stuff

  • There are only 4 spaces available.
  • The Project Spaces are not traditional Shell Scheme stand with walls; they are Space Only islands in predetermined locations through the show halls.
  • The dimensions of each space varies, so your proposal needs to reflect this by making the design flexible, scale-able or even modular.

The dimensions of each of the spaces will be approximately 4m(l) x 5m(w) x 3m(h).

Important Information

Please note: Those selected will receive free space only. The costs of all design aspects must be covered by you; you are responsible for all building, installation, delivery costs and your stay in London.

Your installation must take no more than 20 hours to build and must be completely broken down in 10 hours.

All successful applicants will be required to sign and return a contract that acknowledges that they are liable for the total stand cost, if they fail to deliver on-time the design and proposal that they were accepted on the basis of.

View 2012 Feature Space Exhibitors:

"Super Brands and Tent are amazing and inspiring events. It is attended by a dynamic range of people who are passionate about design. We were honoured to take part with our project X3 that drew acclaim and press across various outlets. Not only was it great exposure, we also learnt a lot though the process and helped showcase some great emerging talent."
David Cuesta, Creative Research and Development (X3)

There was a great energy and atmosphere at the show, which provided me with a unique opportunity to present the new manufacturing techniques of Foam Party to a dynamic international audience who were open to the ‘new’ & unexpected. The interest I received at the show surpassed even my Milan exhibition!
Martijn Rigters (Foam Party)

"The Feature Space was a excellent opportunity for me to present my work to the great public of Super Brands!  I met interesting people from all over the world, new assignments and exhibitions came out of this on which I am working right now!"
Lambert Kamps (Cozy Shelter)

The Feature Space provided a great platform for us to engage with an audience we wouldn’t have had the chance to meet anywhere else. The show felt dynamic, busy and full of opportunity - ideal for our first exhibition in the UK.
Remi Melander, System Design Studio (Cell Cloud)

We applied for the Feature Space as we knew Tent would provide the perfect audience to profile the Neon brand, and our collaboration with the B&O Play range.
